2011 Day of Action

The Annual Clinton County United Way Day of Action took place on Wednesday, June 15th, the first of two (2) planned "Day of Action" events in 2011.

Traditionally United Way focuses on Human Service Agencies in need of help with various improvement projects.  However, Executive Director Angela Harding recognized a greater need among senior citizens in our community this year and the board of directors for Clinton County United Way agreed. 

Through a partnership with the STEP Office of Agning four (4) local residents were choosen to receive the "Day of Action" help including the Lock Haven Area YMCA.   Thirteen (13) volunteers from five (5) area businesses spent the day cleaning up yards for the choosen individuals.  Volunteers included:

• Lock Haven University Wrestling Team
• Assistant Coach Matt Lackey, Team member Billy Rondt, Justin Louden, and Seth Creasy
• Diversified Asset Planners & CCUW Board member
• Bob Thompson
• North Central District Aids Coalition
• Barb Criss, Stacey Kulp, and Lou Ann Masden
• Clinton County United Way
• Executive Director Angela Harding, Resource Development Director Jan Castellani, Volunteer Eugene Baker
