Clinton County United Way started out named Community Chest. The first meeting of was held July 24, 1926 in the Community Service Room at 123 Bellefonte Avenue, Lock Haven, PA. The agencies who were present at the first meeting were Children’s Aid Society, Lock Haven Hospital and Community Service Association. The Community Chest was renamed to Lock Haven Area United Funds and then finally Clinton County United Way!

LIVE UNITED is a reminder that when we think outside ourselves, we have the power to facilitate change. When we think of others’ lives as linked to our own, our compassion grows. When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. We strengthen neighborhoods. We bolster the health of our communities. And we change the lives of those who walk by us every day.
