Dawn serves at Penn State University in World Campus Learning Design as the instructional production specialist supervisor. Dawn joined our board last summer and she has already proven to be an integral part of the Clinton County United Way Board. We are thankful for Dawn’s experience in education and passion for our community initiatives.
When asked why she serves on our board, Dawn responded, “When I served as the Downtown Lock Haven Main Street Manager, I participated in Leadership Clinton County, and it truly opened my eyes to so much that our community has to offer. I could not believe all that I was unaware of as someone who grew up just seven miles away! I then became more involved with the community, serving on several boards and becoming a Big Sister in the Big Brother Big Sister program, but a professional change left me with little time to devote to community involvement. When I saw a board member position opening with CCUW last year, I felt drawn to it. Knowing the essential role that the CCUW plays in our county and the many lives touched in such a positive manner truly left me with no doubt that this was a board I wanted to be part of.”
Dawn has been hard at work completing her master’s degree while working full time and volunteering on our board. Her dedication to service while managing a very busy schedule is an inspiration. Dawn notes, “After graduating with my master's degree, I am looking forward to having more time to devote to my favorite things in life: family, travel, and cooking.”
Thank you, Dawn, for your dedication to education and community service. Your commitment to empowering our youth is truly commendable.
