In addition to her professional career, Kelly is the Founder and Executive Director of Appalachian Pug Rescue, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Lock Haven dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating pugs and pug mixes.

Kelly also serves on the Board for Help 4 Pets; a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Lock Haven dedicated to helping Clinton County pet owners with furkid medical bills

She is also a dedicated fitness instructor at the YMCA, where she teaches multiple classes and provides swim lessons

A lifelong animal lover, Kelly shares her home with two pugs and three cats — all rescues. Both of her pugs are certified therapy dogs through the Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
